Are you tired of getting the same results you’ve always gotten?
Frustrated by a lack of new and exciting experiences?
Bored by doing what you’ve always done?
This used to describe me until it didn’t.
If you are tired, frustrated, and bored, it is probably not due to your job, family, or friends. It’s more likely due to your thinking!
Aren’t you glad you don’t need to change jobs, ditch the family, or find new friends?
If you have not been living the life you hoped and planned to live, then it’s time to reboot your thinking. When you change the way you think, you begin to change the way you live.
Most people blame their circumstances for what they don’t have in their lives. They blame their parents, past choices, or what has happened to them for their current experiences. From there, they assume that there is no way to change the trajectory of their lives. They feel stuck, powerless to choose a new direction. They develop a belief that they are destined to feel disappointed, destitute, and diminished. That is so sad. And I know what that is like.
I grew up in a family that was at the bottom of the lower middle class. My parents started with very little and in an unhealthy relationship. As my younger brothers and I grew up, we thought we were wealthy measured by the things our family possessed – three cars, a boat, an electric organ, and a super cool stereo system.
The fantasy of wealth ended the day my parents announced that they were separating. First, the extra car was sold, followed by the boat and the organ. There were two households to maintain and barely enough money to feed the three of us kids.
As a freshman in high school, imagine my embarrassment handing the lunch lady my ticket for a “poor person’s meal plan.” Everyone else in line had their $2.50 to purchase lunch, except for me. Because of my mother’s income, we qualified for the Lunch Assistance Program. Don’t get me wrong. I appreciated the school lunch program, but it did a number on my self-worth. The program validated that I was financially poor and created a mindset of a poor person within me. I felt less deserving than my classmates.
Little did I know what an impact this tough period would have on me. It was one of the times that would have a lasting influence on my personality, values, and future choices. Thoughts and beliefs about my personal value and worthiness created during this period would end up lasting long into adulthood.
It wasn’t until I learned how to change my thoughts that my life started changing for the better. From there, my life and experiences got better and even better. Far better than I might have dreamt.
If you are tired of getting the same results you’ve always gotten, are frustrated by a lack of control, or are bored by the same ol’, same ol’, consider this offer.
Join me for my next 4-week workshop, Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life. During this program, I will share how I transformed my life by altering the way I think. The workshop begins Wednesday, November 2, 2022, and will be held at the Jones Conference Center and Resort in San Antonio, Texas.
The group size is limited. There is only enough space for ten motivated and smart women. So, I encourage you to register now. The workshop filled up quickly the last time it was offered.
