Now that is a concept worth pondering.

Recently I watched America’s Got Talent All Stars. There was an eighteen-year-old ballerina from Brazil who had no arms. She was born without her upper limbs, so she had to learn to do everything with her feet. They showed a short video of her brushing her teeth and eating a meal using her toes. When you see her for the first-time standing center stage in toe shoes and a tutu, you might think, wow, she has some limitations. But that is not the case.

This lovely young lady danced beautifully for the judges. She was as graceful as Ana Pavlova, one of Russia’s most celebrated prima ballerinas.

The contestant saw herself as a whole person, having all she needed to compete with the best on AGT.

When have you told yourself that you are not good enough?

Where have you decided that it was easier to quit than keep trying to reach your desired dream?

What excuses have you made for staying in the same tedious, unfulfilling job when you know there is something better for you?

How often have you told yourself that trying something new is too scary, unpredictable, and not guaranteed, so you don’t step out to try it?

I’ve got news for you. All those excuses, reasons for not acting, or quitting before starting are your mind’s limitations. They are illusions appearing real.

Isn’t it time you got a handle on your mind? A handle on the illusions/limitations that continue to influence your thinking, actions, and emotions. You have the power to choose differently. You can choose positive thoughts that motivate, encourage, and support you in having everything you desire. You need only change your thinking.
