Welcome, Parents.

Do You Have a Sense Your Teen or Young Adult is Struggling?

Is your teen

Does your young adult transitioning to adulthood seem to be

Many teens and young adults transitioning into independence are having a tough time these days – a more challenging time than any other generation in memory. They struggle to figure out how to move forward in this unusual world. Perhaps you noticed changes in your child.

As a caring parent, it breaks your heart when your child is not progressing as you expected of them. Initially, you feel disappointment, followed by frustration, then you feel stuck, not knowing who to turn to or how to help them.

You are not alone!

I can help!

Cheryl C. Jones

My name is Cheryl C. Jones. I’ve been a personal development coach and trainer for over 25 years. I know what’s going on inside your child’s head, not the exact thoughts, but what caused the change in their behavior.

Business owners, parents, and children (all ages) have sought me out when they want to change the negative internal conversation that holds them back. They reach out to me when they can’t figure out why things are not working.

My unique talent allows me to reach beyond the conscious mind to where we store unresolved emotions and clear them.

As an advanced practitioner of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Emotion Code, I can help them release their negative emotions fast without a lot of rehashing of the past. I’ve been using this technology for the past 20 years in my own life and with hundreds of clients. In addition, I’ve authored a book titled Emotional Self Mastery: The Best Book on Regaining Personal Power, Self-Confidence, and Peace.

So, what’s up with your child?

The reason your child is feeling the way they are is that they have unprocessed negative emotions from experiences in their past. These unprocessed emotions are suppressed emotions that they could not express at the time of the event. Those emotions become stored in the body, causing problems by quietly influencing your child’s overall physical, mental, and emotional health.

The good news is I can identify and remove the negative emotion using the Emotion Code.

The Emotion Code is a fast and effective method to identify, gain background information, and clear trapped, unprocessed emotions so your child can experience life to the fullest.

You may be thinking,

Can’t my doctor or a therapist help?

In some cases, it is appropriate for parents to turn to doctors or therapists to help solve their child’s problem. Here’s the thing, though. Medical doctors don’t have the time to dig deep to get to the root cause of why your child is feeling glum. So, they may offer solutions like medication. Therapists can be helpful but tend to require hours upon hours of talk therapy with the client and may still not resolve the core issue. As a result, little ground is gained because the child’s unresolved trauma or trapped emotions are the same as before the intervention. Unfortunately, when the effort of doctors and therapists don’t work, parents start to blame themselves, wondering where they went wrong in rearing their child.

First, I promise you; you did nothing wrong regarding rearing your children. Every parent does their best with the knowledge they have available to them. In most cases, the knowledge comes from watching their parents parent.

Second, each of us (children included) makes decisions from the time we are born and throughout our lifetime to hold on to negative experiences that were important at the time. No one can choose what to hold on to for another.

Everyone makes their own choices, even as a newborn. For example, as a newborn baby, I was under the belief that I had been abandoned. My mother had complications during delivery, so we were separated for about 30 hours after I was born. Within that time frame, absent from my mother, I formulated a belief that I had been left. As I grew older, the false assumption of abandonment factored into all my relationships. I was constantly careful not to make my parents angry or my friends mad. I tried to control all aspects of my life so I would not mess up and have people vital to me leave. Everyone adopts false beliefs that can be corrected when we identify them.

Three, if your child seems withdrawn, is easily triggered to upset, lacks motivation, or any of the other items listed below, they likely have trapped emotions and traumas within them that were never properly processed. Given the right environment, expertise, and a patient listening ear, those trapped emotions are dissolved and the emotion released, so it no longer has influence or holds over them. From there, they can live with more freedom and joy.

Isn’t it time to consider a different approach?

Every parent wants their child to be happy, mentally well-adjusted, and able to care for themselves. We want them to have positive experiences that help them grow into the person they want to be. We want them to feel confident in their abilities, forge healthy relationships with friends and partners, and create success. It is possible when they get help when they need it.

Please have a look at my Session Planning Menu below. It is a checklist of common issues experienced by children and young adults. You can download a copy for yourself and one to share with your child to do a self-assessment. When we meet, we will use your child’s completed assessment as the place to start. Their responses will help guide the first session.

How do sessions work?

Each session with your child is 55 minutes in length. We can meet in person or over Zoom. My preference is to meet in person whenever possible.

During our time together, we will discuss what they have been experiencing that they don’t like and how they would prefer to feel. Then I will help them identify the underlying trapped emotion or trauma causing the problem, and we will release it for good. It’s that simple and amazingly powerful. Most clients experience a sense of relief like a weight lifted off their shoulders.
